How to use this template

Compile quarterly financials

Pull together the three months of data into a quarterly summary. Include the same quarter from the prior year for year-on-year comparison.

Calculate financial ratios

The template calculates gross margin, operating margin, ROIC, and other key ratios. Compare against prior quarters and industry benchmarks.

Identify trends

Review the rolling four-quarter view to identify trends — improving margins, accelerating growth, or deteriorating cash conversion.

Develop strategic recommendations

Based on the analysis, draft 2-3 strategic recommendations with estimated financial impact. These should be specific, actionable, and time-bound.
